Today, we honor our trans friends, family, and community members whose lives we lost to anti-trans violence, discrimination, and hate.
They deserved so much more than a world that denied them safety, love, and acceptance. They deserved to thrive in their identities, to experience joy and fulfillment, to be seen and celebrated as their authentic selves. They deserved to grow old surrounded by those who loved and valued them without question and unconditionally.
Let this day remind us to carry their light forward by fighting for a world where no one has to live in fear simply for being who they are. A world where trans lives are cherished, respected, and protected.
We will continue to say their names. We will continue to fight for justice. And we will hold space for all the beauty, resilience, and strength they brought into this world.
To our trans siblings, here and beyond, we see you, we love you, and we will never stop fighting for a better future.
